Our latest news

One year ago, almost to the day, we were in the thick of building our garden for the Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival — what an unforgettable experience it was!

This week marks the final push for this year’s designers and landscapers, and we just wanted to say good luck to everyone putting their heart and soul into these incredible builds.

We can’t wait to visit the show and see all the creativity come to life!

What a difference a season makes!

Yesterday, we visited our lovely clients in Fulham for a review visit, six months after planting their garden in November 2024.

Our clients wanted full borders, bursting with perennials and grasses.
The garden is now full of thriving plants that look right at home — settled, happy, and flourishing.

The spring flowers have already bloomed and the summer perennials are just coming into flower.

It’s always such a joy to see a space burst into life.

We are delighted to share that our interview with Kathy Clugston from BBC Radio 4’s Gardener’s Question Time, aired on April 4th, and features our ‘Making Sense’ garden from the 2024 Hampton Court Garden Festival.

The garden was designed for people with smell impairment, and focussed on offering a sensory-rich experience through touch, sound and sight. It explored how gardens can connect with us in different ways beyond fragrance.

Click the link in bio to listen from around 16 mins onwards and discover more about the story, our intention behind the design and Fifth Sense, a brilliant charity which supports people with smell impairment.

Winter Gardens can still shine !

Frosty mornings, gloomy skies, and short days may define winter, but that doesn’t mean your garden has to lose its charm!

Here are 3 stunning winter shrubs you could consider incorporating into your garden:

~ Daphne bholua ‘Jacqueline Postill’
 * Renowned for its sweet fragrance
 * Beautiful clusters of pale pink flowers
 * Evergreen, perfect for brightening up the winter months

~ Chaenomeles japonica (Japanese quince)
 * Vibrant red, pink, or white flowers which bloom even in the cold
 * Hardy and low-maintenance, ideal for winter interest
 * Produces small fruits loved by wildlife.

~ Sarcococca confusa (Sweet box)
 * Glossy evergreen leaves with tiny, highly fragrant white flowers
 * Thrives in shady spots, adding elegance to underplanting
 * Produces shiny berries after the flowers, adding seasonal interest.

These shrubs bring beauty, fragrance, and life to any garden, even in winter.
